For this project, the clients first and foremost were after a contemporary look, a geometric design with clean lines and linear accents. Our Limited Line fulfills that need.
The choice of wood (Maple, with a Natural finish) allowed for a soft, understated appearance, unlike the harsh, plastic-y, high gloss European cabinetry.
Extruded aluminum pulls throughout contribute to, and are emphasized by, the “drawer laden” design.
Stainless steel was used for the toekick areas, and it accomplishes three design points:Â further contribution to the horizontal lines, a complimentary accent to the extruded pulls, and by virtue of reflecting the floor, the cabinets appear to “float”.
Frosted glass was used on the cabinetry by the fridge for two reasons: 1, a melding of appliances and cabinetry; 2, to obscure the contents (specifically of the pantry)
Absolute Black granite countertops were chosen, again, for its contemporary appeal.
